information ❤

Name: Worick (Wallace) Arcangelo
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Occupation(s): Information broker, mercenary, handyman, police consultant, male prostitute, man of the people

History: Gangsta Wiki.

Appearance:
Worick is a tall, stocky dude with longish, dirty-blond hair that is often praised by women for being silky/soft, and one blue eye with the other covered by an eyepatch. He’s very fit and not shy about his body, although he’s usually seen in a casual suit or rumpled button-up. His face is always scruffy and unshaven, and he is extremely expressive in both his face and his body language. He’s often smoking Pall Malls, and he has a distinct tribal tattoo on his back that spans across the bulk of his shoulders. Nicolas has the same.

Personality:
The first thing one might notice about Worick is that he has an amiable, flamboyant nature. Initially friendly and open to most, he starts small talk and offers drinks cordially, and he frequently uses other European languages while making casual, flirtatious comments at women and/or those he's condescending. He's expressive by nature, noisy in his reactions, light-footed and tends to act too young for his age, attaching himself to the body parts of women. Playfulness and treating Nicolas the way a brother might is frequent, between beatings and banterings and blackmails, and although it doesn't usually work on the Twilight, he can be extremely "cute" and charismatic.

They are known city-wide as being "the guys to go to" when there's a problem; whether it's an abusive pimp toing the line too far for his greed, or just fixing up a store after a brawl has broken out, they're seen as two men with hearts of gold and hungry, hungry wallets. With Nicolas's brawn and Worick's brain, their influence can span the whole city.

With such a dramatic and auspicious-seeming nature, it might be easy to mistake him for having few secrets, or wearing all of his emotions on his sleeve, or maybe even having no idea what it means to be a real "businessman". Nothing could be further from the truth. With an air of grungy entitlement, he's fought for his own and his business's reputations in the streets he's lived in, and whored in, since he was fourteen. With his weekend gig of a Gigolo, he makes it known that he is only after the money, that he is a "greedy bastard", and that they are only tricks. Not to say he isn't very gentlemanly in giving women what they want, but the lines are clear-cut, and he does not hesitate to take on multiple or married customers, as long as they can divy up the cash. When dealing with police, he keeps things short and businesslike, reminding the Inspectors that he and Nicolas are not their employees and should be treated as such, as mercernaries without leashes, as guns for hire that can handle the jobs without evidenciary support or mafia leaders seen as "untouchable" without inciting all-out war. Although generally more friendly and aligned with the (mostly) benevolent figureheads of Ergastulum, he still maintains the business's need for independence and true neutrality, despite being personally associated with a particular family since childhood. With all of these clients, they are highly respected and relied upon to mediate amongst gangs, mafias, police, and the local neighborhood. One could call them vigilantes, if they had been caught on one of their more heroic days.

But there's more to Worick than personal warmth and business chill. To this day, he's haunted by bloody memories of his past, giving him nightmares and making the scar over his eye throb like an old man's bones on a rainy day. With the wealthy family to which he was a bastard child having been murdered by none other than his partner, Nicolas, it's safe to say the two of them have a complex relationship. In spite of their codependent and domestic appearance, it's evident that Worick cultivates guilt at himself (as he may have been the one to tell his friend to kill them, with or without intention) and resentment at Nic over the events of their childhood. They are genuinely two very toxic people living under the roof and sharing a very sordid history. At one point, Worick goes so far as to say: "Maybe, in that case, he'll kick the bucket. With that, I'd have one less problem. Yeah, that'd make me happy. Because... I actually... really hate those tagged." He excuses it as a joke in the next panel (he's talking to another Twilight), but the reader is left to wonder at its kernel of truth, as he is very nearly quoting what he said as a child about his abusive family. He is noted for saying he feels as though he's "still looking for answers", even after this many years.

At the end of the day, he doesn't like seeing good people in pain, and will even sacrifice his own well-being to make sure their emotional needs are met, although he has a tendency to do it in subtle and quiet ways. He possesses a deep sense of sentimentality, as he was until very recently still searching for his biological monther, despite the only thing he knew about her was that she was a hooker, and he eventually even buckles down and decides to fully assist the Monroe family after serious threats against the leader's life, who were helpful to the boys in their youth (Nic's amount compliance seems altogether unclear). He pays debts off where he feels they're owed, and does eventually make conscious decisions about what is "too much" for his slightly askew code of morality.

After all, you can expect much leeway from someone who claims to be your friendly, neighborhood gangsta!

Abilities:
Although Worick is not a Twilight and therefore not as durable or strong as those that surround him, he still manages to make himself useful with information and gunslinging. An excellent shot and well-equipped, he knows how to threaten and follow through when need be -- especially when their business often deals out assassinations. He has an eidetic/photographic memory that allows him to soak info up like a sponge, especially when it comes to peoples' appearances and what is written on paper. The police often call him in for identification of bodies and to help sort out crimes, referring to him as "Mister Data Storage", and he can flip through and memorize a book in under a minute. He's a charmer who knows how to get what he wants out of people, whether it be information or into the purses and privates of women. Between his brains and Nicolas's brawn, they make the perfect neutral force in Ergastulum.

It should also be noted that he does have some fighting skill, mostly brawling and wrestling and throwing punches, and he knows how to use his body weight well, as he's the only one who can pull Nicolas out of a berserker rage without using downers (protip: it's by slamming him on the concrete).
